Tips on Hiding Christmas Presents

Your children may deny it, but they will ultimately be tempted to disturb and investigate their Christmas gifts beneath the tree. The best way to eliminated temptation is by finding an awesome spot to hide your Christmas presents. Use these tips to hide the presents from prying hands!

Wrapping gifts should be done when children are not around. Keeping gifts well out of sight can dispel much of your children's unwanted curiosity. So they will be surprised on Christmas, make sure you wrap the gifts for your children while they are away from the house or while they are asleep. Ensure they're oblivious to your scheme, and work on finding somewhere to stash the presents until Christmas morning.

Put the gifts in boxes or grocery sacks. Consider stashing your Christmas presents in there, if you've got a storage room that you could use. Keep your unwrapped presents in a location that your children do not frequent and they will not even think to look for them there. Use this chance to cover your holiday presents with unusual wrapping. (Just be certain that they stay wrapped up - you don't realize how smart your children are!)

Look for a room that can be locked as your first choice. You know that you do not want your children finding where you have hidden their Christmas presents so you may have to think of creative ways to hide them or declare a room sealed off for the holiday season. You would be the only person to have a key to the locked room in the best of circumstances. Think about putting presents not only in the attic but also in the basement. It needs to be a site that your children wouldn't demand to use anyway. Regardless of where you plan to put the presents, they must be wrapped immediately to prevent curious children from drawing conclusions about what is inside them! To keep those little wandering eyes from peeking, cover your Christmas presents with a thick towel or blanket to disguise them until you have the time to properly wrap them. Just think smart. No matter how intelligent your children are, they are still short. You want your holiday gifts to be surprises for the ones you love so keep the surprise alive by putting the gifts in secret places like closets with high shelves. You may have a linen closet with tall shelving. What about the shelving in your basement storage room or garage? Just find somewhere where short people can't see up to!

Ask a trusted buddy to help you out. If keeping the gifts in your home is just too risky, think about possibly hiding them elsewhere. Ask friends and family for assistance. {Until Christmas arrives see if they are willing to part with and empty corner in their home. Christma morning will be exciting and suprising, if the children don't see any of their gifts beforehand.
